In the last couple of years I've become a major nanna, which includes listening to Radio National in the mornings.
On Wednesday they did an interview with Ali Campbell of UB40. I was never much into their music, but kept listening cos he said some pretty honest stuff about the state of the record industry, decline of CD sales, why record companies are stuffed, and how bands have to tour these days to make money.
...and his Brummie accent reminds me of how RT, NR and JT used to sound. Aaah, memories...
All relevant to DD, I reckon, and a further reminder that we have the crap state of the recording industry to thank for bringing (forcing?!) them back to our shores
