Robbie To Perform Intimate Show In Sydney 29 Oct 2009 Towards the end of November Robbie will be heading over to Australia to perform not only at the ARIAs, which we announced a while back, but also at Sydney's very intimate venue, The Metro on 25th November as part of Mastercard's Priceless Music series. In what will be the first performance of a whirlwind three day trip, Robbie will perform a selection of tracks to a small number of fans, including material from his forthcoming album, Reality Killed The Video Star, and some of his classic hits. Tickets The very limited tickets go on sale on Thursday, 19th November, at 09:00 AEST and are priced at $80.50 (including booking fee + GST) - they can only be purchased with a Debit MasterCard. To apply for your Debit MasterCard contact Commonwealth Bank, Westpac or Bankwest and be sure to apply for your access to future Priceless Music experiences. So that you don't miss out on this amazing chance to see Robbie live it is recommended that you pre-register for a reminder alert before 19th November. Please note that this is an over 18's event.

Would have loved such a small venue - just couldn't "get into" the 2003 concert - maybe it was a let down after seeing the other band that played that night "Pretty looking road I try to hold the rising floods that fill my skin"

I don't fancy our chances though, bloody mastercard staff had access to a wad of tickets yesterday. So, I am guessing less than 1000 tickets for the thousands of fans to fight for.

She did exactly what you did Red....and got 4 tix at 9:02am! I got two for Kath and two for me. kath is taking Steve her hubby and i'm taking a girlfriend who LOVVVVVVES Robbie. hopefully I'm close enough to get some good photos. Between myself and Kath we should have it covered!

Apparently they sold out in 45 seconds according the MC promo person. So, if they sold out in 45 seconds how did you get them at 9.02?? it is a crock of shite!! lol Not having a go at you, I am glad someone from here is going, just pissed off with the staff getting pre sale and then the PR lady bullshitting! lol Someone on the Robbie site sent a complaint about the staff getting presale and this is the response.... Thank you for getting in contact with MasterCard. I work for its communication agency, Professional Public Relations. The exclusive nature of the Debit MasterCard music gigs, which have been held at intimate music venues like the Metro, meant there were a limited number of tickets available to see Robbie Williams. As a result, tickets sold out through the Debit MasterCard Music website very quickly (in 45 seconds) and some fans were unable to secure tickets. Purchasing was not available before 9AM.

We all found out that there was a staff pre-sale the night before. This just makes me even angier, not so much as not getting tickets (knew that was a long shot) but that it was basically a "corporate" gig and they got people to sign up under false pretenses "debit mastercard = chance at Robbie ticket" which turned out to be bullsh*t cause most of the tickets were already SOLD TO STAFF.

It's disgusting and shouldn't be allowed. maybe promoters who want tickets for staff should have to supply staff memers name and names of their guests so they can't do stuff like this. I know my sister had to sell tickets for Kellie Clarkson on ebay but she actually just put it as buy now for the ticket price because she didn't realise her best friend had already bought tix as her xmas present and certainly didn't want to profit from her mistake - maybe my family are just stupid... If you have to cancel for real reasons like illness, double up on tickets etc then go for it but buying hard to get tickets purely for profit is just wrong. It doesn't just happen with pop music, even wiggles front row tickets are snapped up and resold on ebay for heaps more than their $30 price.
