Hello!

For the past few months, Christine and I have been working vigorously on stocking up the website with new images from the archive, and making the website more user-friendly. I have tried hard to wait until most of the changes were completed before sharing it all. However, my patience does have its limits, and then excitement takes over.

I want to make all the new stuff as easy as possible to view, so here's a little guide to the improvements on DURANDY.COM! I hope you enjoy it all.

NEW POSTERS!

The best news is how many new posters from the archive have been shot and uploaded: 90 fresh additions! Below is a summary of where to find the latest treasures (usually they can be easily found at the end of each gallery, but some might be waiting patiently for your careful eye):

NEW RARE PHOTOGRAPHY!

Three animation sheets from Dean Karr are now visible, under Rare Photography. These sheets were used in the video for Out Of My Mind, filmed in Prague.

BIGGER WEBSITE!

I have been working with my designer to make the whole site a bit larger, allowing more space for higher visibility and easier navigation. Hopefully the changes will make your visit a more enjoyable one!

NEW ACQUISITIONS!

Posters have remained a dominant theme with recent acquisitions. Sweet promos from the UK, Spain and even some poster 'patients' gently restored by Doctor Danny have given the archive some exciting new life. One highlight was when Danny successfully removed a 1985 MTV Music Awards promo from its horrible cardboard backing. The man works miracles. You can find the finished product under 'Posters/Duran Duran(1985)'...look closely for John and Andy on the poster -- they were presenters at the Awards!

AMERICAN COLLECTORS FILM UPDATE

The documentary about collectors has been officially picked up for distribution by IndieFlix! Bob Ridgley and Terri Krantz have great plans for bringing their film to the masses, since collecting is a phenomenon which seems to resonate with every audience. The film can be purchased (downloaded) on indieflix.com.

There's much more on the horizon as we work hard to bring the archive further into the light. With her ferocious standard for quality, Christine has also been going back over posters all over the website, color-correcting and even re-shooting when needed to make everything look as best as possible. She is a consummate professional, and I have huge, heartfelt appreciation for her wonderful camera work.

I hope all the latest on Durandy.com will bring you many smiles, and help tide you over while the band's new album moves ever closer to completion. Thanks as always for your great interest and support! Please let me know if you have any trouble viewing anything.

All my best for a safe, healthy and rewarding week ahead.
